Be sure to attend our Cherry Pie Hike in February. George Washington and his guide Christopher Gist along with Native American Indians they met will appear and all who attend will get a slice of cherry pie! Hikes start at 9 am and continue throughout the afternoon. Log on to events.dcnr.pa.gov and search "Cherry Pie". This will get you to the events page for Jennings Enviromental Education Center where you can reserve your hike time.

Washington's Trail is seeking national designation upon request from Congressman Mike Kelly. In order to get the designation, a study was done by a survey team from the National Park Service. The next step is for the information to be reviewed then an additional study may be done. Then congress will vote on it. The whole process could take three to five years.
